iCloud Photo Sharing

iCloud Photo Sharing allows you to share photos with certain people that you choose. You can create an album where others are able to upload photos or comments also.

Image Stabilization

Your iPhone also has some sophisticated ‘Image Stabilization’ features also known as OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so you can take great photos when you are out and about hiking or doing something active. It has both digital image stabilization, and optical stabilization on the newer phones. Which actually uses motion data and your gyroscope to compensate for your hand shake. It’s pretty amazing, that is why you are getting good, clear results with your iPhone, automatically.

iOS Albums

iOS Albums are created by Apple as a way to organize your photos. There are a few other things to keep in mind about iOS albums, like the fact that iOS creates these albums only as it needs them. Also, albums contain a reference to the picture or video in Photos, they are not duplicated. You can’t delete iOS albums or add any photos to them.

A Live photo means that there was a 1.5 second video taken before the camera shutter was applied, and there’s a 1.5 second video taken after, which results in a three second video.

Magnifier is a feature that is found when in Markup mode and it is that magnifying circle icon. If you select that, you’ll get a circle put on top of your photo and it magnifies the contents inside of the circle. This is a great way to highlight pictures of items for sale, for example.

Major Update

Apple does a major software update once a year, which introduces new features and updates existing features. You should always wait 1-2 weeks to do a major update to make sure all of the bug fixes are taken care of before you update.

iOS Overview

Markup is those three circles in the upper left when you are in the Photos app. When you open Markup, you’ll likely be put into the hand drawing option. You can then begin using your finger to draw on the screen. This is a fun way to add your own text or designs to photos and you can also adjust the thickness of the line by selecting those three dots again.

Medical ID

If someone has your phone and it's locked, someone can select the Emergency option and when they do that, they will see your Medical ID. Which I have set up anyway because if you are not aware of this, in the event that you are unconscious and emergency personnel need to find out more information about you, they will check your iPhone and look up this information.
